St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, in collaboration with China Resources Property, has unveiled plans to open a St. Regis hotel in a 25-story building in Hong Kong. With interiors by Hong Kong-based designer André Fu, the St. Regis Hong Kong’s offerings will include 129 guest suites, signature Chinese and French restaurants, a 320-seat banquet hall, an open-air terrace and a lobby lounge. The hotel is slated to debut in early 2019.
“St. Regis constantly seeks to reinterpret and reimagine time-honored traditions, bringing exciting new options and modern conveniences to luxury travelers,” says Paul Foskey, chief development officer, Asia Pacific, at Marriott Intl., the luxury flag’s parent company. “We are glad to be working with China Resources Property, a subsidiary of China Resources Holding, to bring the legendary St. Regis name to Hong Kong.”
Lisa Holladay, vice president and global brand leader, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, adds: “Hong Kong is a bustling center of commerce with an incredible mix of glamour, culture, history and tradition. This vibrancy makes it an ideal destination for St. Regis. With its excellent location, impeccable service and refined elegance, we look forward to offering guests an exquisite experience in one of the world’s most exciting cities.”
There are currently more than 40 St. Regis hotels open worldwide, including nine in Greater China. While Marriott operates nine other properties in Hong Kong, this will be its first representative of the St. Regis flag there.
