Stepping into the lobby of the 25-room boutique Node Kyoto hotel feels similar to walking into the private home of an art collector.
Set in the heart of the city a short walk to restaurants and shopping, the Node has positioned itself as an integral part of the local community—hosting collaborative exhibitions, pop-up shops, guest gallerists, and more.
A collection of artwork has been curated through partnerships with local galleries and art fairs around the world. Artists include Barry McGee, Bernard Frize, Tomoo Gokita, Shinro Ohtake, and Nobuyoshi Araki, to name a few.
With interiors designed by Seiichiro Takeuchi, guestrooms are done in soothing gray tones and fitted with original furniture and art pieces, while oversized beds, amenities, and loungewear have been selected with guest comfort in mind. Takeuchi also designed furniture and lighting found throughout the hotel.
