Gold Key finalist for eco- or socially conscious hotel

FINALIST
Gold Key – Eco- or Socially Conscious Hotel

The Highlights: Designers revived a historic building from 1928 for emerging hospitality group Soul Community Planet’s second hotel. The original detailing was preserved and the classic details celebrated by integrating eco-conscious, modern design with SCP’s trademark environmental ethos. Regional, sustainably sourced materials are highlighted by a palette of earth tones inspired by the surrounding Oregon landscape. Lush living plant installations adorn the public spaces and give special meaning to “breathing in new life,” while the original fir floors were refurbished throughout, giving the interior spaces a warm, familiar glow.
