Park Hyatt Debuts in Bangkok
Interiors by Yabu Pushelberg, AvroKO
The Park Hyatt brand has made its debut in Bangkok. The luxury, residential-style hotel features public spaces and accommodations designed by Yabu Pushelberg (YP), while AvroKO created its Penthouse Grill & Bar.
The 222-key project marks the first hotel in Bangkok for YP, which has studios in Toronto and New York. “We found the perfect interior for Park Hyatt Bangkok is when all the parts—the lighting, materials, space, texture—work as a whole and you get this sense of calmness, of sensuality,” says YP co-founder Glenn Pushelberg.

The Hyatt Hotels Corp. property is located in the upper floors of a skyscraper in Bangkok’s central business district designed by AL_A, a London-based studio founded by Amanda Levete, and Bangkok-based Pi Design, the consultant architect of record for the project. The hotel and an adjacent luxury shopping mall are bound together by a continual looped form merging the plinth and the tower.
