The Kimpton Pittman Hotel will open in one of Dallas’ most historic buildings in the storied Deep Ellum neighborhood tomorrow, Wednesday, August 12, 2020. The property will provide guests with access to some of the city’s most popular shops, craft breweries, dining destinations, and over 30 live music venues.
The Kimpton Pittman Hotel occupies the historic Knights of Pythias Temple, which was designed in 1916 by prominent African American architect and son-in-law of Booker T. Washington, William S. Pittman. Perkins+Will worked in tandem with designers at Busta Studio and the Dallas Historical Society to restore the structure to its original state while implementing contemporary, authentic design elements.
The hotel offers 165 guest rooms as well as lobby and common spaces reminiscent of an industrial loft, and a modern American tavern called Elm & Good.
