The Senate has passed another round of funds for small businesses on Tuesday, to the tune of $484 billion. The program will also provide funds for hospitals and coronavirus testing.
The move comes after news last week that the $349 billion Paycheck Protection Program had run out of funds. The program, which was part of the $2.2 trillion CARES Act, was first launched 14 days prior to its depletion.
According to a New York Times article, Congress is likely to ask for more money in weeks to come as lawmakers consider spending another $1 trillion on additional relief.
