Marking its continued expansion, Los Angeles-based Palisociety adds to its West Coast footprint with the announcement of Palihouse Santa Barbara, scheduled to debut in spring of 2021. Located in the coastal city’s Historic Presidio neighborhood, Palihouse Santa Barbara is a 24-room residential style boutique hotel that was formerly the site of the Santa Barbara School of the Arts from its 1920 inception. The Spanish Colonial-inspired property is a hideaway in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara, often dubbed the “American Riviera.”
Reimagined by Palisociety founder Avi Brosh and his in-house design team, the hotel has all new interiors and signature bespoke details and charm throughout with an aesthetic storyline that blends “vintage preppy” with “American Riviera” for a cool, comfortable setting that introduces a playful brand-new personality to the city’s hotel landscape.
An intimate reception area opens into an airy lobby lounge with adjacent cocktail bar, Mediterranean-style courtyard and garden café. Outdoors, lush courtyards and outdoor pool sit alongside the café as well as a secluded Private Dining Room which will play host to a myriad of options for special events. Situated on two levels, the hotel will feature a mix of guestrooms and suites, ranging in size from 375 to 800-plus square feet. All rooms feature a sitting area and fireplace, balconies and/or courtyards, and select accommodations boast a kitchenette, dining area and courtyard, garden and pool area views.
