Golden Rock Resort has opened as the first upscale lifestyle resort in the Dutch island of St. Eustatius (Statia). The introduction of the 32-room resort enters the market as the largest hospitality development in the history of Statia.
The contemporary boutique hilltop resort spans 40 acres of lush landscaping and immaculate gardens and is situated near the island’s signature “Quill,” the dormant volcano that’s one of the Caribbean’s most sought-after hiking spots. Golden Rock embodies a casual, upscale aesthetic with unparalleled access to nature’s calming, restorative, and rejuvenating power.
The 32 nature-inspired guestrooms and suites feature modern finishes and ocean views. All accommodations offer open-air corridors, private balconies, sustainable amenities, and refreshing décor. In April 2022, Golden Rock will add 22 oceanfront villas to its current roster. In its commitment to an eco-consciousness lifestyle, Golden Rock Resort makes use of the following sustainable systems: solar panels to completely power the resort; a reverse osmosis machine turning salt water into clean drinking water with a capacity to store 240,000 liters; and a helophyte filter used to clean dirty water through the use of reed and bamboo, to be used for irrigation of the property’s plants and grass.
