Stonehill Taylor recently renovated Southwest Florida’s Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs.
As part of the resort renovation, Stonehill Taylor refreshed the property’s first-floor amenities, including reception, entry lobby areas, and the hotel’s Belvedere Lounge and Belvedere Porch that overlooks one of the hotel’s iconic water features. Staying true to the resort’s Neoclassical roots, the firm infused the public spaces with a rigorous yet warm minimalism and introduced natural elements throughout. The firm incorporated natural materials and greenery that brings nature indoors, and also commissioned Florida-based landscape architect EDSA (whose credits include Bal Harbour Shops and Atlantis resorts) for an intervention in the hotel’s atrium that features a full green wall and manicured new plantings. With upgraded furniture and finishes throughout the ground floor, Stonehill Taylor also replaced existing art with large-scale, contemporary pieces.
