Three Michelin-starred Chef Curtis Duffy has opened his new restaurant, Ever, in Chicago. Ever is the third effort from Duffy and co-owner and director of operations Michael Muser. Their previous restaurants were Grace, which earned three Michelin stars in four guides: 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018; and Avenues, which earned two Michelin stars in 2011.

Located in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood, the space was designed by architects Christopher Lawton and Micah Stanley of LSA, who won a James Beard Award for Grace. At Even, guests first journey through a long, curved entrance hall, which evokes the worn walls of Moab’s slot canyons. They then step into a velvety dining room divided with slat screens made of solid white ash, pillowy carpet, and leather chairs. Wool felt baffles on the custom-made ceiling give the sensation of being inside noise-canceling headphones.
