Ferrado has announced the rebrand and renovation to el PRADO, formerly known as the Garden Court Hotel, a 62-room boutique property set in the heart of downtown Palo Alto. Inspired by Spanish open-air living and the enchanting residential feel of the surrounding community, this refresh will focus on transforming the hotel’s interior layout.
Overseen by hotel design firm NICOLEHOLLIS, el PRADO will emphasize a warm, tranquil respite that delivers a balance between the intimacy of a stately Spanish home and a contemporary destination. Known for a holistic approach that unifies natural surroundings into each interior design project, Hollis draws on botanical themed nuances, including an abundance of lush greenery and the flor do toxo of Spanish hillsides, to connect each space to el PRADO’s central courtyard and focal point. The color palette will highlight rich black forest greens, stone blues, touches of terracotta orange, and a blend of neutral tones that bring a casual air to the more refined, modern design details, creating a distinct ambiance throughout the hotel.
As part of the renovation, el PRADO will also debut a two-floor glass solarium outfitted with cozy seating adjacent to the breakfast eatery. Rounding out the refresh will include a second-floor bar.
