The Colony Palms Hotel and Bungalows has reopened its doors with a complete renovation by hotelier Steve Hermann. Originally built in the 1930s, Hermann recently completed a multimillion-dollar renovation. Upon entering, guests are transported to a desert paradise where the lush common area features a pool and cabanas.
The property boasts 41 rooms, 14 bungalows, and two grand suites. The look and feel of the property evokes the past with an elevated modern take that Hermann is well-known for creating with his designs. The hotel features walls of trelliage painted a light green, evoking memories of the Amalfi coast and Cap Ferrat in the 1940s. The lobby flooring is clad in Rhombus patterned marble floors, with walnut clad walls and light white and green wallpaper. The lobby boasts Italian Sergio Mazza sconces and an Art Deco inspired reception desk, covered with Arabescato marble accents.
