Old Town Scottsdale’s first new hotel in over a decade has opened, ushering in a vibrant Southwest energy infused with midcentury modern sophistication to the neighborhood along with a new signature restaurant and expansive rooftop bar and lounge.
Designed by Studio 11 Design as a natural extension of the surrounding arts district, the 177-room Canopy by Hilton Scottsdale Old Town boasts guestrooms and suites that strike a balance between contemporary elegance and impeccable design and features approximately 2,000 square feet of meeting space.
With the hotel opening comes the debut of two new dining venues under the direction of Valley Chef Patrick Gaudet. Cobre Kitchen + Cocktails, the hotel’s signature restaurant located on the ground floor, is an American brasserie inspired by the Southwest. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the restaurant and bar’s aesthetic embodies the vibrant and energetic persona of the surrounding city with floor-to-ceiling windows, arched wood ceilings, contemporary furnishings, sleek marble counter tops, and subtle touches of copper throughout, harkening to the restaurant’s maiden roots. Within the bar is also a grab-n-go counter offering locally roasted coffee and artisanal breakfast treats and pastries. Outrider Rooftop Lounge, Old Town’s newest rooftop pool and bar perched atop the hotel’s seventh floor, offers a sophisticated, laid-back ambiance with views of the iconic Camelback Mountain. Offering 180-degree panoramas of the surrounding vistas, guests can enjoy casual seating, private cabanas, a fire pit, social spaces with turf, and a seat at the custom bar that shares the spotlight with a photo-worthy, desert-inspired mural.
