Banyan Tree Group has continued its global expansion with the opening of its first flagship property in Europe, Angsana Corfu Resort & Spa. Set on an idyllic hilltop estate in Corfu’s Akra Punta bay, near Benitses Village, the new luxury resort debuts with a collection of 159 contemporary guestrooms and suites as well as 37 one- to four-bedroom pool villas. Each pool villa is meant to evoke the feeling of an authentic and private Corfu home with outdoor pavilions, terracotta rooftops, and private pools.
Boasting 360-degree views of the picturesque turquoise waters of the Benitses Bay, Angsana Corfu offers a Mediterranean sanctuary for travelers with grounds that are surrounded by lush green, mountainous landscapes, Mediterranean gardens, and olive tree groves. Rockwell Group did the original architectural and interior design, which was the inspiration for various local designers’ additions. ACM is the local architect that worked on the detailed design.
