GOCO Plans SoCal Resort
Wellness complex to include two hotels
GOCO Hospitality has unveiled plans for a wellness-oriented retreat that will be home to two hotels, branded residences and homes, and a retail complex. The GOCO Retreat Temescal Valley will be located on a 62-acre plot adjacent to the Glen Ivy Hot Springs Resort east of Los Angeles that the Bangkok-based hospitality firm acquired in January 2016.
Scheduled to open in phases in 2019 and 2020, the Temescal Valley complex is being designed by two Bangkok-based firms, TIERRA Design and Horwath HTL Health and Wellness. The master-planned complex’s major components will be:
- A 60- to 70-key wellness hotel, featuring a full-service wellness center
- An 80 to 100-key boutique lifestyle hotel, with sustainable design and features
- A total of 200 GOCO branded residences and residential homes
- A community retail village featuring retailers of specialty lifestyle and wellness products and health-oriented food and beverage outlets.
GOCO Hospitality founder and ceo Ingo Schweder participated in the “Living the Lifestyle: A View from the C-Suite” panel at last fall’s Boutique Design New York (BDNY) and the firm’s GOCO Spa Venicewas profiled in the March 2015 edition of Boutique Design magazine.
