Boutique Design Events and Trade Fairs

The September 2020 edition of the Maison&Objet event will no longer be going ahead in its usual physical format. From September 4-18, Maison&Objet will host a Digital Fair instead, via its online platform MOM (Maison&Objet and more).

“Although there are encouraging signs of the pandemic beginning to decrease, we believe there are still far too many uncertainties regarding the travel conditions for international exhibitors and visitors,” says Philippe Brocart, managing director of Maison&Objet. “Furthermore, the lack of clarity regarding the ability to hold large gatherings in early September in France has played a major part in influencing our decision to call off the September edition of Maison&Objet, despite the fact that 80 percent of stands had already been reserved by April 2020.”

The Digital Fair will feature two complementary strands: Digital Showrooms on the MOM digital platform where products will be showcased, and Digital Talks on the Maison&Objet website to deliver content and inspiration.

Each year for the past decade, Maison&Objet has also been organizing Paris Design Week, which this year will run from September 3-12. This year, Paris Design Week will also be part of France Design Week, a new national initiative spearheaded by the French Agency for the Promotion of Industrial Creation that will bring coordinated design events to cities across France.

The next edition of Maison&Objet is scheduled to run from January 22-26, 2021. Initially planned for September, the Work! and Projects show sectors will be part of the January 2021 edition.
