Vision Hospitality Group’s Kinley is coming to Cincinnati this September. The 94-room, boutique Kinley, Cincinnati Downtown will be part of Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio.
The concept for Kinley, whose name is derived from the word “kinship,” was created in collaboration with New York-based creative agency Streetsense in 2017, which helped to design and develop the brand. The Cincinnati hotel’s team is also working with Cincinnati Art Underground which helped to curate the local art pieces and mural showcased in the lobby.
The mural, titled“Industrial District,” was just completed this month by Andrey Kozakov. A link from past to present, the mural is inspired by Midwestern cities and represents Cincinnati’s industrial past. Another mural on the side of the building was originally commissioned in 1971 for a series titled“Urban Walls: Cincinnati.” Kinley reached out to the original artist Barron Krody and revived the design as a nod to the building’s history.
Chefs Kevin Ashworth and Edward Lee will lead the new restaurant, Khora, which features a pasta-driven menu, sourcing grains from the Ohio Valley and milled to order for the restaurant.
