Vision Hospitality Group has announced the planned opening of new lifestyle hotel destination Kinley, Cincinnati Downtown on October 22. Nestled in a historic building between downtown and the city’s Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, the 94-room hotel invites travelers to “come for the city, and stay for the story.”
Derived from the word kinship meaning social connection and based around the brand’s mantra of “Sincerely Yours,” Kinley, Cincinnati Downtown channels the energy of the surrounding community, along with small-city sensibility and charm. The Cincinnati location joins its sister property located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The concept for Kinley was created in collaboration with New York-based creative agency Streetsense in 2017, which helped to design and develop the brand. 2019 Boutique Design 18 honoree Ashley Ewing Parrott was the project manager for every aspect of the hotel, from hiring the architecture firm and interior designer to securing the location and floorplans.
Using a modern color palette of rich blue tones and warm gold hues, Kinley, Cincinnati Downtown provides a sophisticated atmosphere that inspires guests to relax and recharge while telling a story about the city through artwork. Kinley, Cincinnati Downtown partnered with Cincinnati Art Underground to curate local art pieces for display around the hotel, including a hand painted mural design in the lobby area in collaboration with Cincinnati-based artist Andrey Kozakov. The outside building features a historical mural, “Allegro,” originally painted by award-winning artist Barron Krody for a series titled Urban Walls: Cincinnati in 1971.
