Designed by Los Angeles-based Avenue Interior Design, the 286-room Hilton Santa Monica hotel draws aesthetics from the Southern California coast and the newly developed breeding ground for tech innovation, Silicon Beach, while seamlessly interweaving elements of the destination’s rich legacy as a source of inspiration for artists, musicians, innovators, and filmmakers – from pioneer architects such Wallace Neff and Paul Williams, to iconic musicians such as The Beach Boys, The Doors, and Neil Young.
Upon entering the hotel, guests will be greeted with high-impact design that immediately communicates a sense of place with a custom, hand-painted mural by local Los Angeles-based artist collective, Hattas. Serving as the social hub for the hotel, the lobby will feature a tech lounge, marketplace for quick yet elevated grab-and-go fare such as gourmet sandwiches and salads made with local and seasonal ingredients, and a farm-to-table eatery accommodating guests looking to grab a casual drink after a day at the beach, or those looking to stay and dine onsite.
The hotel’s subtle coastal influences continue into the guestrooms, which feature a serene color palette, flexible layout, and bright, spacious bathrooms. Modular furniture will enable guests to optimize their room. Additional amenities will include an outdoor pool with cabanas and over 10,000 square feet of flexible event space.
