Brooke Tumsaroch is returning to luxury interior design firm ForrestPerkins as associate principal to lead its new studio in Chicago. Tumsaroch recently spent five years in Bangkok as the design director for AvroKO, but she previously worked for ForrestPerkins from 2004 through 2011 as an associate and senior designer.
In her new role, Tumsaroch will work with the firm’s teams in Dallas, New York, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. to lead projects in Chicago and the greater Midwest. She has more than 15 years’ experience managing the design of luxury hotels and restaurants, including the iconic Palmer House Hilton; Park Hyatt in Bangkok; Four Seasons in Amman, Jordan; Fairmont Battery Wharf in Boston; and the J.W. Marriott in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She also chaired the Interior Design program at Corcoran School of Art and Design in D.C. from 2011 to 2013.
“I am thrilled to be rejoining ForrestPerkins. The firm is a recognized leader in luxury design, and I could not be more excited for the opportunity to bring that design to the Chicago region. Having been inspired by these individuals and the firm’s design leadership, I am looking forward to contributing to this legacy of luxury and leaving our mark on the vibrant Chicago market,” Tumsaroch says.
The new Chicago studio will join the Perkins Eastman office in Chicago’s River North district. ForrestPerkins has been the luxury hospitality design studio for the global architecture firm since 2016.
