Hotel designer James Lee has been named director of design, hospitality, at global planning, architecture, engineering and interiors firm LEO A DALY.
Lee joins the firm from Wilson Associates to lead LEO A DALY’s team in Los Angeles. He has a portfolio of luxury, 5-star hospitality work on five continents. In 2017, he was named one of Boutique Design’s Boutique 18 honorees, an accolade reserved for the industry’s top on-the-rise design stars. His noteworthy projects include The St. Regis Saadiyat Hotel & Residences, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; The Ritz-Carlton Saadiyat Hotel & Residences, Abu Dhabi, UAE; Langham Place Hotel, Qingdao, China; Skye Niseko Hotel, Niseko, Japan; and the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown Hotel.

LEO A DALY’s hospitality group is working on a number of hotel projects in California, the Middle East and China. Current and recent projects from the firm include: the Beverly Hills Marriott, the Irvine Marriott and Hotel del Coronado in California; The Ritz-Carlton, Grande Lakes in Orlando, Florida; and Wynn Palace Hotel in Macau. Lee’s leadership also strengthens capability in gaming and entertainment for the firm, whose signature projects include the The Cromwell Las Vegas Hotel & Casino and Vdara Hotel & Spa in Las Vegas.
