Interstate Hotels & Resorts has promoted John Rubino to executive vice president of Crossroads Hospitality, the company’s select-service division. In his new post, Rubino will oversee overall management of the unit’s 181-hotel portfolio in North America.
“We’re incredibly fortunate to have a deep pool of talented individuals throughout the company, and John’s depth of experience and strong leadership ideally qualify him for this role,” says Ted Knighton, president and chief operating officer of Interstate Hotels & Resorts. “Through exceptional owner and brand relations, operations acumen and team building, John has greatly enriched our reputation as a high quality operator of this specialty lodging segment.”
Rubino most recently served as the division’s senior vice president of operations. He’s been with the company for nearly 24 years, starting as the general manager of a Hampton Inn. Prior to that, he held management roles and executive-level positions with Trust Hospitality and Island Hospitality.
