Oakland, California-based architecture and design practice Arcsine has announced the promotion of Angela Hong to the role of director of architecture. Bringing forth more than 15 years of experience, Hong first joined the firm in 2019 as a senior architect. Hong’s new role will see her in collaborative leadership with Arcsine’s executive architecture and design teams, including cofounders Adam Winig and Daniel Scovill.
“During a pivotal year, Angela has worked through complex challenges with a thoughtful approach to design and extremely poignant direction of staff and client engagement,” shares Arcsine cofounder Adam Winig. “Angela is an innate leader, and an incredible asset to our team.”

Prior to joining Arcsine, Hong held numerous titles at McCall Design Group in San Francisco, in addition to roles with Jennifer Weiss Architecture and HOK, where she served on the aviation and transportation team. A native of South Korea, Hong earned her bachelor of architecture from Cornell University.
