Oakland-based architecture and design firm Arcsine has announced the promotion of Angela Hong to director of architecture. Hong joined Arcsine in 2019 as a senior architect. In her new role, she will lead collaboratively with the executive architecture and design teams, including co-founders Adam Winig and Daniel Scovill.
Prior to joining Arcsine, Hong held several titles at McCall Design Group in San Francisco, focusing on a variety of retail and restaurant projects, from new prototype concepts for emerging brands to flagship stores for national retailers. After her role as a project manager for custom residential projects at Jennifer Weiss Architecture in the Bay Area, Hong joined the Aviation and Transportation team at HOK to work on the Salt Lake City International Airport Redevelopment Program as an architectural consultant. Shortly afterward, she went on to lead the design strategies for a market-based portfolio as a store design manager for Starbucks—lending her innovative design style to the brand’s core, high profile, and reserve stores.
