BDNY, scheduled for November 8-9, 2020 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York, has been officially cancelled. The decision was made after closely monitoring government regulations and safety measures concerning the COVID-19 pandemic as well as consulting community partners and supporters.
Recent developments have made it impossible to bring the community together safely and successfully due to the ongoing progression of the pandemic in the U.S. To make this decision, event leaders looked at the latest government data, measures, and guidelines on the phased reopening plans in the U.S.; current restrictions on congregating and large gatherings imposed by states and other government and public health authorities; travel restrictions into the New York City area; and the various company-imposed travel restrictions on employees affecting attendees and participating companies.
“The hospitality industry has been one of the hardest hit markets by COVID-19,” says Michelle Finn, VP, Boutique Design Group. “But our industry is resilient. We know we will come through this challenging time stronger. We cannot overstate how much we appreciate the support of the hospitality community and our partners, and we are here to support you in any way possible.”
BDNY 2021 is scheduled for November 14-15, 2021.
