Christine Shanahan has been promoted to principal at HVS Design. Shanahan, who joined the interiors firm in 2014, will also continue in her role as managing director of design, where she will oversee and manage the staff of designers as well as help with creating designs for hospitality projects. She joins fellow principals Warren Feldman and Scott Rosenberg at the Washington, D.C.-based firm.

“In a relatively short time, Christine has elevated HVS Design to new heights. Her unique ability to curate inspired designs across a broad spectrum of project types that appeal to our clients and their guests has positively impacted the trajectory of the firm,” says Feldman.

Recent HVS Design projects include the Marriott Louisville Downtown in Kentucky; The Goodwin Hotel in Hartford, Connecticut; the Renaissance Philadelphia Downtown Hotel; and The Delamar Hotel in West Hartford, Connecticut. Some upcoming projects include The Blake Hotel in New Haven, Connecticut; a Hyatt Regency in Jacksonville, Florida; and a Hyatt Place in Miramar Beach, Florida.

Shanahan will still be based out of the company’s Rockville, Maryland office. Feldman and Rosenberg are partners of Jonathan Nehmer + Associates, Inc. in addition to their partnership with Shanahan at HVS.
