The Victor Restaurant in Toronto’s Le Germain Hotel has undergone a major makeover. Locally based DesignAgency led the revamp, which it said was inspired by American-style brasseries.

The updated restaurant’s open-plan space can accommodate up to 60 guest and now includes a glass-walled dining room with banquette seating, as well as a bar and breakfast café. Its two-story-high ceiling features a 700-sq.-ft. twisted gold metal hanging light fixture. Other design elements within the space include peacock leather, antique-bronze accents, frosted amber mirrors, concrete tiling and Salisbury-green table tops.

“Our goal is to make Victor not only a great hotel restaurant for guests, but also a cozy and familiar neighborhood spot,” says Michael Sullivan, the hotel’s director of food and beverage and restaurant partner.
