Hard Rock in Vegas Rebrands
Property to become Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, join Hilton's Curio Collection
Hilton is expanding its presence in Sin City with plans to convert a former Hard Rock property into Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. The rebranded hotel/casino will join the Curio Collection by Hilton in 2020 following an extensive, multimillion-dollar renovation. In collaboration with JC Hospitality LLC and Virgin Hotels, the property will be a reimagined to a modern entertainment hub.
The hotel will continue full-service operations as the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino until early 2020 when it closes briefly for renovations. The hotel will have more than 1,500 guestrooms and 110,000-plus sq. ft. of meeting space.
The pool will be remodeled to give the feel of a private island with cabanas. New food and beverage options will include Commons Club, Virgin Hotels’ flagship modern dining and social club concept, and The Shag Room, a secret den welcoming guests for cocktails.
Owned by JC Hospitality, the project stems from the vision of a group of investors led by Juniper Capital Partners and the Labourers International Union of North America (LiUNA) (investment managed by Fengate Real Asset Investments) along with their partners Dream, Cowie Capital Partners, Virgin and other private investors.
The Curio brand has more than 65 hotels and resorts open and 59 hotels in the global pipeline.
