Wilson Associates has promoted Leonard Lee to regional managing director and regional creative officer, AsiaPAC. In his new role, Lee—who is based at the firm’s Singapore studio—will lead Wilson’s design team across China and Asia Pacific, as well as support Blueplate, the firm’s F&B focused studio. During his tenure at Wilson, Lee has created designs for such luxury brands as Conrad Hotels & Resorts, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. and Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, as well as lifestyle brands such as Sofitel, Kempinski and Autograph Collection.

Casey Mahon of San Diego-based multidisciplinary architecture firm Carrier Johnson + CULTURE has been promoted to a new title at the firm: digital practice manager. In the newly created post, Mahon—who was featured as the Exit Interview subject in Boutique Design’s May 2016 edition, will oversee such initiatives as virtual reality, digital fabrication, Building Information Modeling (BIM), mixed-reality and Internet-of-Things (IoT).

MGM Resorts Intl. has hired Mark Strawn as senior vice president and chief administration officer for MGM Resorts Design and Development. Strawn, who was previously vice president of corporate finance at Wynn Resorts, will provide strategic leadership and financial oversight for MGM Resorts’ capital improvement projects, as well as the development of new experiences for the brand worldwide.
Hyatt Hotels Corp. has hired Kathy Krenger as vice president of global communications, effective May 15. Krenger was previously a general manager at international communications firm Daniel J. Edelman. Her 25-year career also includes stints at Burson-Marsteller, Kellogg’s, Six Flags and Ticketmaster.
David Hammarley has joined sbe as chief financial officer. In September 2016, he became a senior vice president of corporate finance at Marriott Intl. following that company's acquisition of with Starwood Hotels and Resorts, where he’d held various leadership roles since 2007. Prior to that, he worked at American Express in both finance and strategic planning.
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has appointed Eventbrite Inc. co-founder and ceo Julia Hartz to its board. In this role, Hartz will represent long-term shareholder Cascade Investment. Prior to co-founding Eventbrite in 2006, she served as a creative executiveof FX Networks and worked in creative development for MTV Networks.
