Caesars plans $90M renovation at Las Vegas hotel

Caesars Entertainment Corp. has unveiled a $90 million plan to renovate 1,270 guest rooms at Flamingo Las Vegas. ForrestPerkins—a design studio of Perkins Eastman with offices in Dallas, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.—is revamping the accommodations with a new retro-chic look that celebrates the hotel/casino property’s history as a centerpiece of the Strip.

Work is slated to start in late August and to be completed in 2018. The first of the renovated suites will debut in November.

The designers are drawing inspiration from champagne to refresh the rooms’ interiors. That includes incorporating hues of gold, as well as bright pops of flamingo pink.

The resort, which is home to more than 3,500 guest rooms and suites, celebrated its 70th anniversary last year. Also in 2016, Caesars Entertainment upgraded more than 4,800 rooms at four of its Las Vegas resorts: Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Paris Las Vegas and Harrah's Las Vegas. By the end of this year, half of the company’s rooms in the city will have been upgraded since 2014.
