Three-day event included 70 guest speakers, 270 attendees
The Boutique & Lifestyle Lodging Association (BLLA) closed its 2015 Annual Leadership Symposium on Oct. 23. Held at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica, Calif., the three-day event involved more than 70 speakers and 270 attendees, including boutique hoteliers, vendors and media professionals.

In addition to discussions on the latest hospitality trends, the event included an awards gala honoring boutique hotel projects and noteworthy hoteliers. The 2015 BLLA Award recipients are:
*2015 Boutique Hotel of the Year: Woodmark Hotel & Still Spa, A Destination Luxury Hotel, Kirkland, Wash.
*2015 Lifestyle Hotel of the Year: Grand Bohemian Hotel, The Kessler Collection, Orlando, Fla.
*2015 Hotelier of the Year: Karie Hall, vice president & general manager, The Cromwell Hotel Las Vegas
*2015 Person of the Year: Alex Glasscock, founder & owner, The Ranch at Live Oak/Malibu
*2015 BLLA Board Member of the Year: Jonathan Falik, founder & ceo, JF Capital Advisors
*2015 BLLA Special Recognition Award: Lana Dubovik Boissier, principal, hospitality atelier
*2015 BLLA Special Recognition Award: Marjorie Feltus Hawkins, IIDA, principal, FELTUS HAWKINS DESIGN
*2015 Inner Circle Club Member of the Year: James Shaffer, executive vice president, Venture Programs Inc.
